E Tu Whanau Day

A word from Mokoia Community Association Mauri ora Huhana

NOVEMBER 2016 This next couple of months are definitely a celebration of whanau/family and the generations . Christmas is on the horizon and the warmer weather tends to bring people together as they enjoy the outdoors. This month we have the Te Arawa Kura Tuatahi Regional Kapa Haka Whakataetae on November 5th here in Rotorua. We wish all the primary and intermediate students the best as you head into this competition. As you take to the ataamira (stage) and stand strong to represent your school and Te Arawa proudly, many of your friends, whanau/family will be on the other side cheering you all on, so “kia kaha koutou”.

At the end of the day Te Arawa in general are the winners, as you perform and educate us all of our rich history of Rotorua.   All the best on the day to you all. It will be worth all the hard effort each of you have contributed.  Also to the younger children in primary all the best on your day at Te Arawa Ahurei on November 20th.
